The journey heads to Albertville and Moûtiers, then up the Belleville valley through Saint-Martin-de-Belleville and Les Menuires. The last kilometres, above 2,000 metres, are often snowy: our vehicles run on winter tyres from October to April, and the chauffeur carries chains.
A car-free resort
Val Thorens is a pedestrian resort. Vehicles stop at the car parks and drop-off areas at the entrance; most residences and hotels are then reached on foot or on skis. Give us your address and we choose the closest drop-off.
Saturdays in the Tarentaise
Like every Tarentaise resort, Val Thorens is in high demand on Saturdays. Leaving early in the morning avoids the worst of the traffic around Moûtiers.
On arrival
The chauffeur unloads the luggage and ski equipment to the chalet or hotel entrance. Need a stop on the way, for groceries or ski hire? It can be arranged for CHF 40, to mention when booking. Think about the return too: booked at the same time, it saves any last-minute search on departure day.
